GUADALUPE PINTO | 3rd YEAR | PUBLIC POLICY AND WOMEN, GENDER, & SEXUALITY
MEET THE SPECIAL EVENTS DIRECTOR
Hi there!!! My name is Guadalupe Pinto, and I am a third year majoring in Women and Gender Studies and minoring in Public Policy. You will more than likely catch me playing any board game known to man or sitting outside to enjoy the sunshine. Also, you can never go wrong with cooking a homemade meal with friends.
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE IN UPC?
As Special Events director, I have the opportunity to create unique and quirky events from outlandish ideas. Our creativity knows no boundaries. I encourage my committee to conceptualize events that bring smiles to people's faces, so any event idea that you would like to see on Grounds, let's see how to make it happen.
WHAT DOES UPC MEAN TO YOU?
UPC is the first organization I joined at UVA, and it quickly paved the way to amazing friendships and wonderful experiences. It has challenged me to test my creativity and work with such accomplished people.
IF YOU COULD YOU COULD LISTEN TO ONE SONG FOR THE REST OF YOUR OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Catch me listening to So Sick by Ne-Yo -- it's my go-to shower song.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE UPC MEMORY?
At Teeny Tiny Zoo, I got a selfie with Peppa the Pig and it was the cutest thing I had ever seen.
