The UPC Comedy Committee presents its Spring comedian: Nathan Fielder!
Some info about Nathan:
Nathan Fielder can currently be seen as the writer, director, and star of his hit Comedy Central series “Nathan For You,” which recently aired its fourth season. Fielder has also wrote and performed on the series “Jon Benjamin Has a Van” and “Important Things with Demetri Martin.”
Fielder has guest starred in many shows as well, including “Drunk History,” “The Kroll Show,” “The League,” and “Childrens Hospital.” Additionally, he has lent his voice to hit animated series including “The Simpsons” and “Bob’s Burgers.”
Hailing from Canada, Nathan is also well known for his online shorts and his weekly segments on the acclaimed CBC comedy series “This Hour Has 22 Minutes." For his work on "22 Minutes" Fielder received a Canadian Comedy Award, a Writer's Guild Award, and was nominated for a Gemini.
In July 2014, Nathan received the “Breakout Comedy Star of the Year” award at the 2014 Just For Laughs Comedy Awards.

The Bob Ross Paint-a-Ton is a night filled with calming, colorful fun! Come out to the PAV on Thursday, February 22nd from 8 to 11 pm to spring on your creative side and paint with not only your friends but Bob Ross as well! Remember: mistakes aren't made - just happy accidents.
UPC and MSN are proud to present our annual Lantern Festival celebration on Friday, February 15th from 7:30 to 9:30pm at Newcomb - South Meeting Room. There will be food and appetizers catered by Asian Express and a special dessert: sweet dumplings, a traditional Chinese dessert served during the Lantern Festival. There will also be multiple stations that feature different traditional Chinese games and activities, such as calligraphy and lantern making to honor the feast. Additionally, there will be performances such as Lion Dance, V-major band, Paradanse Club, and a showcase of Chinese yo-yo. We hope to see all of you at the celebration!
Kate Bollinger, Alice Clair, and Inning are the musicians playing. It'll be at 5 pm in the Music Library this Friday. There's not too much to it. Something like "Come jam with us at UVA's first ever Tiny Desk Concert Friday, February 15th in the Music Library. Enjoy live performances by Kate Bollinger, Alice Clair, and Inning or catch recordings of the performances later on line.

HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF?
Join us on Friday, February 8th from 5PM-8PM at Newcomb Theater to hear guest speakers Marc Lamont Hill, A.D. Carson, Zyahna Bryant + Althea Laughon-Worrellt talk about their experiences in public news, music, and activism! The event will feature poetic performances by Flux Poetry and a reception with food catered by Sticks and Milan following the speaker segments.

Come learn from alumni and local professionals in a variety of roles within the music industry, including technical roles, artist and event management, marketing and promotion in both nonprofit and for-profit entertainment. The first hour will feature roundtable discussions with professionals where students can learn about skills they should develop and trends to look out for if they are interested in the industry. In the second hour, students can network with alums and organizations of interest at an informal reception.
Guests include professionals in artist management, festival coordination, nonprofit/education, booking, and more!

Ever wanted to perform a sketch on Saturday Night Live? Want to practice comedic routines? If so, work with friends to compete against teams to perform the best sketch. Come out on Saturday, February 2nd, at the Newcomb Theater 6-8PM to enjoy competition and a good laugh!

Join us on on November 16th from 5PM to 8PM, for the second installation of the Multicultural Consciousness Series featuring a screening of Crazy Rich Asians in the Newcomb Theater followed by dinner and a speaker panel! This event is brought to you by Multicultural Student Center, UPC, ASU, the East Asia Center, and is fully funded by the UVA Parent's Fund.
An epic guitar hero tournament will ensue Halloween Night at 1515. Best costume will when a glorious prize. Sign up beforehand or in the first 15 minutes of the event in order to participate in the tournament. Winner of the tournament will also receive a prize. There will be snacks!

Bears and Scares is a spooky, sweet, stuffing-filled night of fun! Come out to the Pav on Friday, October 26th from 9pm-12am to stuff your own animals, eat some spooky sweets, and show off your fabulous Halloween costume! UVA students will need to pick up wristbands from the PAC the week prior to the event to ensure they receive a bear. Be there or be scared!
